Aurinco Solar Energy

Solar panels can be difficult to mount on a boat especially rigid ones. Aurinco Solar Panels are semi-rigid, ultra thin, step on panels that can be mounted practically anywhere - even on the deck and walked on.

These panels have recessed wires so you can mount directly on a flat surface without modification. The flat bottom sits right on top of a deck. See the picture below of a panel on a curved foredeck. With this ability to place panels on the deck you can maximize panel location for the best sun exposure.

Aurinco has solar panels from 12w to 100w that can be installed individually or as part of a larger array.

Features not found on other solar panels:

  • Efficient - New monocrystalline silicon cells with a 17+% conversion rate render twice the power of thin film "flexible" panels and equals or surpasses traditional framed panels.
  • Ultrathin - All models are only 3/16" (4.5 mm) thick with NOTHING protruding from the surface that can catch sheets, sails or your feet
  • Light-weight - ideal for racing, or for mounting on a bimini, dodger or other light structure
  • Recessed wires - wires are protected in grooves and can either be installed hidden or on top
  • Rugged - sealed with heavy-duty DuPont Tefzel® which provides superior UV, salt water and chemical resistance
  • Step-on - you can step on the textured anti-skid surface
  • Maximum use of space - modular approach permits the use of more available surface area
  • Mount on curved surface - the narrow modules are slightly flexible and can be installed to follow a curved surface
  • Temporary use at anchor - mount on boom with bungee cords, then store under bunk or cushion while underway
  • Partial shade resistance - arrays of panels are less sensitive to shadow from the sail, boom and mast than a large single panel
  • Beautiful - not an eyesore on the boat you are so proud of

Bluewater™ arrays adapt to rounded surfaces Step-on array with anti-skid strips less sensitive to partial shadow Boom mount at anchor
