Accurate, durable and beautiful and treasured gifts for any occasion!
Welcome to the world's finest collection of traditional weather instruments.
Inspired by early 20th century instruments, these original designs reflect our commitment
to quality and the creation of practical things of beauty.
These artistic and functional instruments were inspired by Thomas Jefferson's
notable prowess for mechanical invention and his love of country gardens. Made from
solid brass and glass, they are certain to offer a lifetime of service and value.
Included with each Jeffersonian instrument is a pressure treated wooden stake for
ground installation, as well as a hanger bolt for post, fence or deck rail installation.

| The Jeffersonian Thermometer uses a unique
pierced brass drum gauge, with separate Fahrenheit and Celsius temperature
scales to allow readings from either side. A large isolated bimetallic
coil allows an accurate reading even in full sunlight.
A unique brass drum scale, features separate Fahrenheit and Celsius
temperature readings on either side. |
The Jeffersonian Rain Gauge uses a mechanical
float and lever design to measure up to 5 inches of rain in 1/5 inch
increments. This gauge will turn into the wind to ensure an accurate
measurement, or may be tightened down to fix its location. |
The Jeffersonian Wind Gauge, measures both
speed and direction. The pointer is easily visible along the 0 to 40-mph
scale. The cobalt blue glass counter balance points out the wind direction
while acting as a damper to keep the speed indicator steady. |
