Light Weight, Strong, All 304 Stainless Steel Davits, with New Attractive Lines. The Nova Davit system represents the "State of the Art" for styling and function. Versatile mounting designs assure a perfect fit with an offshore strength standard. Like all Nova products, a very high standard finish will make the right statement about your boat. The neat folding feature stows the davit system flush with your boat's stern. The maximum safe working load is 350 lbs. per pair (175 lbs per arm).

Forespar Nova Davits are designed to give added height to your dingy, helping to avoid swamping or loosing the dingy when your boat is healed under sail.

Forespar Nova Dinghy Davits are designed and styled to offer the benefits of light weight and excellent lifting capacity. A pair of Forespar Nova Dinghy Davits has a safe working load rating of 350 pounds and are designed for dinghies in the 6 to 11 foot range (usually an inflatable). Nova Davits

Constructed from thick wall 304 stainless steel and strategically sleeved to provide double wall thickness in high load areas, each Forespar Nova Dinghy Davit is tested to 350 pounds which is double its rated working capacity. Integral welded stainless steel heads, which incorporate high quality Harken roller ball bearing sheaves, greatly add to the smooth operation and reduced chance of line tangling as compared to the more common block and tackle systems. They conveniently fold inward to maintain boat slip length or remove them completely for stowage or racing.

Installation:
The Forespar Nova Davit foot socket bases are 2.9" in diameter and designed to be placed in-line with the feet of the existing stern rails. In this position, the davit head is approximately 10" above the top rail. Positioning the foot inboard or outboard of this line will raise or lower the davit's outer end sheaves. The base assemblies tilt to accommodate most deck or transom angles and also allow the davits to rotate for more compact stowage. Positioning to a wider base setting is preferable, and locating the davits near a vertical stanchion will also add stability. Forespar Nova Davit legs may be trimmed to get the exact height required for the rail clamp to match up properly with your stern rail. A pair of diagonal braces are included in the design to stabilize your davits while sailing or motoring.

NEW FOR 2008 Forespar has redesigned their popular Nova Dinghy Davits to extend farther than previous models and use new stronger and lighter-weight Marelon® components on a stainless steel frame.
	The reinforced Marelon reinforcing gussets allow each arm to lift 175lbs for a total davit lift weight of 350lbs. Longer 45” lift arms also extend farther away from the transom allowing the system to accommodate larger dinghies.		A new Marelon davit head control has been designed to incorporate 4 sheaves for easy lifting and 2 cleats. One cleat is a cam style cleat for quick control and the second is a horn cleat for secure cruising.

	Each arm is mounted independently using a stainless steel support bracket that is easily removable and allows the davit arms to swing into the boat for convenient storage. All appendages can be easily pinned for quick removal.		Assisting in the raising of your dinghy are two 4-to-1 Harken lifting bridles. Two cam cleats provide instantaneous control when lifting. With two horn cleats positioned to secure your dinghy while underway.

	Each Nova Davit system is sold as a complete package. Each kit contains two, 4-to-1 Harken lifting bridles, 4 cleats and all necessary components for mounting the davit system on the stern of a boat that has a rail.
