Forespar
Nova Lift was designed specifically to handle the task of loading and unloading
heavy stores and equipment on sailboats. Now, by teaming your existing cockpit winch
power with Nova Lift you can safely and easily accomplish these tasks. With Nova
Lift, the sailor can now lift a 15 hp outboard easily and safely with far less risk
to his topsides, often performing the task singlehanded. No longer risk overnight
loss of your valuable outboard in an unsavory anchorage because it was too much
of a struggle to haul aboard that night...
The list of uses is endless, from generators, batteries, dive equipment, large
pets, large fish, fuel & water jugs, propane bottles, stores and so on...
Nova Lift units come with all rail and deck mounting
hardware, 30 feet of 3/8" Sta Set line, Harken swivel block and special deep throated
S hook. Only extras required are (3) 1/4" diameter screws or bolts suitable
for attaching the base.
Features
- Elegant styling with superb strength and function.
- No external block & tackle
- Internally led purchase to keep the lifting arm centered over the load.
- Internal lead to your cockpit winch for greater lifting power .
- Stainless steel lower mounting tube accommodates 30" height rails. Vessels
with rails higher than 30" will require the use of a deck pad (not included)
to raise the installation to the proper height.
- The Nova Lift with Winch is available where sailboat winches are not available.
- 220 lbs. Maximum Load

Mounting tube should be installed vertically. The rails on some installations
such as a canoe stern have a lot of outward flare. To accommodate this situation,
Forespar offers a 2" standoff and a 5" standoff which consists of an extended
saddle and bolt kit.

Load also increases on rails when vessel is rolling or load
is jerked or bounced. Insure rails are attached with bolts
(not screws) and are in good condition. Installations instructions
must be followed carefully for smooth and safe operation. Other
operational and safety procedures accompany these units and must
be read and understood by operators before using the Nova Lift.
