Panel-mounted, magnetic circuit breakers provide protection for windlass motor and vessel's electrical system. They also function as power switches. Indicator light warns against leaving your windlass on. 50A and 100A models are 3 1/4"x41/2"; 150A is 3 1/2"x6 3/4"
To determine the correct amperage, divide the wattage by the voltage and round up to the nearest breaker size. For example 1000W/12V = 83.33A a 100 Amp breaker would be appropriate.
