Signaling, during restricted visibility, can be difficult to maintain every two minutes, and it is hard to remember the correct sequence required by the United States Coast Guard (USCG). Radar, chart plotters and AIS units are valuable tools, but they do not fulfill what is required by the USCG and IMO 72 COLREGS for sound signaling during restricted visibility.
Signal Mate Portable Sound & Light Signal Control System is a self-contained, automatic controller that provides the required USCG sound and light signals for a vessel during restricted visibility or emergency situations.

 Designed to produce signals specifically required by U.S. Coast Guard rules and regulations- Sound signals include vessel appropriate fog signals, Danger/Doubt signal and the Distress sound signal (continuous horn or SOS), or manual horn
- Light signals include standard repeating SOS, the Inland Distress of 50 to 70 flashes per minute continuously, or anchor light
