Policies and Conditions of Use

AhoyCaptain provides their services to you subject to the following conditions. If you shop at AhoyCaptain, you accept these conditions. Please read them carefully. In addition, when you use any current or future AhoyCaptain service, you also will be subject to the guidelines and conditions applicable to such service or business.

Privacy Policy
AhoyCaptain does not disclose any personal information, such as your name, email address or telephone number to any third parties. The information you supply is accessible only by designated staff of AhoyCaptain, and is used only for the purposes for which you provide the information.

Return Policy
Customer satisfaction is our number one priority.
We want our customers to be completely satisfied with every product purchased from AhoyCaptain. You may return any purchase within thirty (30) days, provided that the product is in original new condition and returned in its original packaging. Original manufacturers packaging must be in new condition. We can only process returns and make refunds for items purchased from AhoyCaptain. To return an item, send an email to returns@ahoycaptain.com and include the following information: your name, daytime telephone number, the invoice number, date of purchase and reason for the return. We will issue a return authorization number along with instructions telling you where to return the package. The customer must pay freight both ways. Upon receipt of the package, a replacement will be shipped or credit issued. In the case of a product that is defective or damaged, AhoyCaptain will pay shipping both ways.  No returns will be accepted, or refunds issued, without a valid AhoyCaptain return authorization number.

All items returned for credit are subject to a minimum 15% restocking fee.  Refused orders or orders returned without a valid AhoyCaptain return authorization number are subject to a 25% restocking fee plus shipping both ways.  Returns are not accepted on: used items, items that are not in original condition, books, videos, software, dated items or cut lengths of line, rigging, hose, piping, fabrics, etc. Special order items and closeout items are also non-returnable.

All items must be returned in "new" condition--including packaging. Your account will be credited only upon receipt of acceptable goods. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

After 30 days, all sales are final. Should you experience a problem with any product purchased from us after 30 days, we will gladly assist you with any applicable warranty claims with the manufacturer.

State Sales Tax
If your order is delivered to an address in New Jersey, regardless of shipment origin, 6% New Jersey State Sales Tax will be added to your final charge
If your order is delivered to an address outside of New Jersey, sales tax may still be due if the state the shipment originates in, is the same state it is delivered to. For example: If your order is drop shipped from a supplier in Florida to your address in Florida, Florida State Sales Tax of 7.5% will be added to your final charges. International Customs Duties & Import Taxes
Any customs duties and import taxes that are levied by the importing country are the responsibility of the customer.

Shipping
We do not "pad" our shipping charges or add "handling charges". To keep our prices as low as possible, we must pass the cost of shipping to the customer. You will be charged only what it costs AhoyCaptain to get your order to you. Unless you specify otherwise at check-out, your order will be shipped via the most economical carrier which is typically FedEx and UPS Ground in the US and Canada.  The most cost-effective method for International Orders is generally via DHL, Federal Express followed by UPS.

Upon check-out, our system automatically calculates and displays Estimated Shipping charges. Unless otherwise stated in the product description - shipping costs will be added to your order. 

All orders are shipped:
    F.O.B. Origin, freight prepaid and charged back
        1. Seller - Pays freight charges and adds to invoice
        2. Buyer- Bears freight charges
        3. Buyer- Owns goods in transit
        4. Buyer- files claims (if any)

Privacy
Information we collect about you is used exclusively by AhoyCaptain to process orders and provide a more efficient and personalized shopping experience. AhoyCaptain respects your privacy. We will never sell, trade, rent or otherwise make available to others our customers' personal information.

Electronic Communications
When you visit AhoyCaptain or send e-mails to us, you are communicating with us electronically. You consent to receive communications from us electronically. We will communicate with you by e-mail or by posting notices on this site. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

Your Account
AhoyCaptain does sell products for children, but it sells them to adults, who can purchase with a credit card. If you are under 18, you may use AhoyCaptain only with involvement of a parent or guardian. AhoyCaptain and its affiliates reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders in their sole discretion.

Reviews, Comments, Communications, and Other Content
Visitors may post comments and other content; and submit suggestions, ideas, comments, questions, or other information, so long as the content is not illegal, obscene, threatening, defamatory, invasive of privacy, infringing of intellectual property rights, or otherwise injurious to third parties or objectionable and does not consist of or contain software viruses, political campaigning, commercial solicitation, chain letters, mass mailings, or any form of "spam". All items purchased from AhoyCaptain are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier.

Product Descriptions
AhoyCaptain and its affiliates attempt to be as accurate as possible. However, AhoyCaptain does not warrant that product descriptions or other content of this site is accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. If a product offered by AhoyCaptain itself is not as described, your sole remedy is to return it in unused condition.

Disputes
We participate in the Better Business Bureau's BBBOnLine Program. This means that we have committed to cooperating with BBB efforts to resolve disputes that may arise under this contract. Upon your request, we will agree to participate in a BBB dispute resolution process to resolve these disputes.
